Passionate, local lime plastering in Norwich, Norfolk covering the surrounding areas.
Established in 2020, Geo Low Plastering is a small, independent plastering company based in Norwich, led by founder George Low. Formerly known as Low Lime Plastering, the business specialises in lime plastering, heritage plaster repairs, and traditional plastering techniques.
The Geo Low Plastering team has experience across a wide range of plastering services, from period property conservation and listed building repairs to modern plastering and renovations. We place strong emphasis on quality workmanship, traditional methods, and careful attention to detail on every project.
Our work with the National Heritage Lottery Fund played a key role in developing our expertise and passion for the repair and conservation of historic buildings. We have since worked on some of the oldest properties in Norfolk and across the UK, applying conservation-led approaches that respect the age, materials, and construction of each building.
We believe historic buildings deserve thoughtful care and responsible restoration. Our aim is to act as careful custodians, helping to preserve these properties for future generations through the use of breathable materials, traditional lime plasters, and proven conservation techniques.
All of our heritage and conservation plastering is completed using traditional lime-based materials with a long history in historic building conservation. This ensures the best long-term performance and structural health of older buildings.
Older buildings are often considered harder to heat than modern homes but with the right approach, this doesn’t have to be the case. We specialise in retrofitting insulation to traditional buildings using breathable, vapour-permeable materials that work in harmony with historic structures.
Understanding how older buildings manage moisture and humidity is essential. Incorrect insulation can cause condensation, trapped moisture, and timber decay, leading to long-term damage. We advise on and install insulation systems that protect the building fabric while improving comfort and energy efficiency.
As an experienced historic building restoration company, we work with a range of natural insulation materials, including:
These systems help create a warmer, healthier indoor environment without compromising the integrity of the building.
